1. Go to Settings on the mobile device > Select Apps > Swipe to All > Select Gmail > click on CLEAR DATA & UNINSTALL UPDATES.
2.Go to Settings on the mobile device > Select Accounts > Click on Google > Select the Google account linked to Gmail > On the top right corner, click on the three dotted vertical icon & Select Remove account > Restart the mobile device.
3. Restart the mobile device.
4.Go to Settings > Accounts > click on + Add account > Add the Google account linked to Gmail back.
5. Go to the Google Play Store > Look for Gmail > install the updates.
6. Restart the mobile device > Launch Gmail.
